A 2 day programme which allows the delegate to gain accreditation as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.
The goal of this two-day course is to raise awareness of mental health issues and give you the skills, confidence, and knowledge to support a young person who may be suffering or in crisis. Participants will learn how to offer initial support until appropriate professional help is available. Suitable for anyone that supports a young person aged 8-18.
The course is split into four sections:
- What is Mental Health?
- Anxiety and Depression
- Suicide and Psychosis
- Self-Harm and Eating Disorders
